Please plan to visit our El Paso Zoo over and over again during 2008 to watch us grow. A new reptile house is being constructed in the shape of a giant tortoise in the Americas area of the Zoo, and the construction of our new Zoo Entry Complex and a new African Habitat Exhibit is also now under construction with completion coming on in phases starting in early 2008. Our El Paso Zoo is the most exciting wildlife educational and recreational destination in our southwest community.

Safari Nights Gala at the Zoo - "Africa in El Paso"
- Since 1995 the Safari Nights Gala has been a major -Zoological Society fundraiser. This fantastic event has grown into a tradition that combines live entertainment, exotic gourmet foods and a great silent auction. The 2008 Gala will be located at the El Paso Country Club on Saturday, May 17, 2008. Each year this themed gala has become more and more exciting. The "Africa in El Paso" Gala will honor the upcoming African expansion at the Zoo. This spectacular evening features a formal reception, buffet dinner at a variety of different food stations, live musical entertainment and the traditionally great silent & live auctions.

Honorary Chair for the 2008 "Africa in El Paso" Gala and the El Paso Zoological Society hope that you will consider supporting the El Paso Zoological Society through attendance at this wonderful annual event. The cost to attend is $1,000 for a table of 10, or $100 for individual tickets. Reservations must be made by May 12, 2008. Call us at 532-8156.

Armed Forces Day at the Zoo
June through first week in August 2008
Summer Camp at the El Paso Zoo for children 6 through 10 years old.

Classes are from 9am to 12noon Monday through Friday.

Cost $85 for each week per child for non-members. $75 for each week per child for El Paso Zoological Society members. Reservations must be made in advance. Please call 915-532-8156 in early April as classes fill up fast.

The 2008 classes are themed around the "Elephants". Children will study the Elephant, tour behind the scenes at the Zoo, enjoy craft making and playing games. Each child receives a themed t-shirt.

Year of the frog
- Ribbit, Ribbit, Ribbit! This Leap Year, our zoo is jumping into join other Association of Zoos and Aquarium zoos nationwide to celebrate frogs and bring awareness of man-made problems for all amphibians. So, hop on down to the El Paso Zoo to find out how you can help frogs.

Boo @ the Zoo
- Pumpkin Bowling, Kiddie Mazes, Lots of Candy at Treat Stations Sponsored by Local Businesses & Costumes Galore! You just have to be a part of the largest outdoor safe trick-or-treat event in El Paso! It's merry not scary - kooky not spooky! Watch the different animals eat or play with pumpkins! Your children will go away with a full bag of candy and a smile on their faces - you'll leave a great photos for the scrapbook and warm memories of your adorable little ones.
